Lisbon - World's Best Heritage City

I am a travel loving person and fond of travel to different places of the world. Traveling is my passion and most of the time I traveled alone. This summer I visited Lisbon and 3 of my friends joined me this time. We all were together after a long period of time, and we had a terrific fun.

As the summer vacation commenced, we all decided for a trip. After a long period of argument and discussion, we all agreed to visit Lisbon. This destination is an authentic place that stands alone in this increasingly uniformed world.

We all started our preparations for the impending trip. After deciding the destination for the trip, the next step was to book flight tickets at a reasonable cost. We had limited funds and had to do all things within that limit.  All of us agreed to buy cheap flight tickets. We gathered information about the airfare of all running flights to Lisbon. That was the period of summer vacations and numbers of flights were running to that destination, but we were in search of some cheap flight to Lisbon.

After a long process of searching, we finally succeeded in buying cheap ticket to Lisbon. We made all the essential preparation for our trip and reached destination place on the fixed date. This is an extremely attractive and marvelous city of Europe and is Europe’s second oldest capital that is situated on the series of hills with scenic view from every angle. That is the only European city which is located close to sandy beaches. We captured by the amazing beauty of the city.

The very first day we visited Jeronimos Monastery. It is the world’s heritage monument, and resting place of Vasco da Gama. That place was so calm in nature although thousands of tourists visits that place on a daily basis. Jeronimos Monastery was immensely popular tourist spot of the city. Next spot where we visited was Belem tower, that place was declared as world’s heritage monument by UNESCO. Belem Tower is city icon and also the symbol of age of discovery. The city was rich in taste and culture; any historical person surely enjoyed that place. The city was considered as one of the world’s foremost historical cities that were rich in culture, and the beautiful setting of the city makes it an ecstasy for photographers and walkers.

We had a three days trip and during these days we visited almost all popular places of the city such as Berardo Museum, Ancient Art Museum, Tile museum, The Golden Baroque Trio etc. That was the world best heritage city, and we enjoyed there a lot.

Lisbon is the world’s famed historical city with a beautiful setting from all sides. The city has rich and culture and heritage, and that was the least expensive city of Europe. Plenty of monuments and museums were situated in the city. Those who have historical taste would surely enjoy the place.
