Berlin - A city with a rich history

This year, our teachers and the school management decided to take us to Berlin as a part of our school trip. Every year, history students from our school are taken to destinations that are popular for their rich past, or they have played a prominent role in the history of the entire world. We were excited to visit Berlin as we had read a lot about this city in our text books and the role played by the same in the global history. As soon as the destination to be visited was decided, our school management started looking for cheap flight tickets. Best airfares were searched, and finally, cheap tickets to Berlin were booked. Booking tickets were not a very big challenge as several flights to Berlin are available these days. Our tickets were booked on Jet Airways.

This city is located in the north east of Germany. This city is not only the capital city of the country but also, one of the largest cities. As such, it is known to be the hub of finance and business. Moreover, this destination is also a focal point of arts, history and culture. The same is evident as soon as one steps in this city. The scintillating ambience of the city attracts tourists coming here in large numbers. The artists and people with a creative bent of mind feel happy to be in this city as this destination is known to promote budding artists.

We were told by our guide, that the city also puts up best theatrical productions. The city has several outstanding theaters that are known to offer best shows at a global level. In 1928, the famous Bertolt Brecht’s theater, Three Penny Opera took the theater world by storm. Many aspiring actors, actresses etc come to this city to learn the intricate nuances of acting.

There are several other theaters dotting the city landscape like Friedrichstadt Palast, Hebbel-Theater and many others. Our teachers decided to take us to the famous Friedrichstadt Palast. This theater is located in the east of the city. We enjoyed a magic show at this theater, and no doubt, it was an unforgettable experience for all of us. This theater is one of the prominent attractions for the visitors coming here in large numbers. Another famous theater is Revue Theater that is the largest theater in Europe. This theater has been designed by Werner Hoffman in his characteristic style. The theater can seat 1, 893 people. The theater area is immense. Theater personalities in shimmering outfits leave the patrons spell bound. Music and acrobatics form a vital part of the theatrical productions put up by the city.

Our trip to this beautiful city was a memorable one, and we decided to come back with our parents using cheap flights to Berlin.
